In my microteaching session about Population Growth and Change, multiple elements were successful. An important aspect was the utilization of ICT tools, which assisted in involving students and delivering the material in an interactive manner. Utilizing a YouTube video to show practical instances of population change improved learners' comprehension and made the topic more engaging, it provided a more applicable and hands-on viewpoint, making the information simpler to understand, particularly for individuals who learn best through visuals. The Kahoot activity at the end of the lecture was especially effective at emphasizing the main ideas, the quiz fostered an enjoyable and competitive atmosphere for learners to utilize their new knowledge. It also acted as a tool for assessing their understanding, enabling me to assess their comprehension and adapt my explanations as needed. In general, utilizing various ICT tools helped sustain a strong level of involvement during the entire lesson.

The initial obstacle was effectively organizing and handling time. I miscalculated the duration of certain aspects of the lesson, especially the Kahoot activity, which ended up taking more time than anticipated due to some learners requiring extra time to respond to the questions, to tackle this issue, I modified my speed by giving short explanations in between questions to clear up any confusion, all while maintaining a high level of energy.

The lesson achieved the learning objectives because the main objectives were to make sure that students grasped the ideas of population growth and change, could recognize influences on population trends, and could use this information in real-life scenarios. The main ideas were clearly defined in the PowerPoint slides, with the video giving real-life examples to show the effects of population growth, the Kahoot game was also beneficial in achieving the learning objectives by assessing learners' capacity to remember and utilize knowledge in a competitive yet encouraging environment. The game feedback revealed that the majority of students understood the key ideas, and I was able to offer instant clarification for those who had difficulty with certain questions.

I really enjoyed your microteaching session! Using Kahoot to engage students was a fantastic choice, it created a fun, interactive atmosphere that encouraged participation. The real-time feedback you provided after each question helped reinforce learning effectively.

The YouTube video you selected was a great addition, too. It complemented your lesson perfectly and helped visualize the concepts in a way that was accessible and engaging. Your ability to seamlessly integrate technology into your teaching not only kept the students interested but also catered to different learning styles.

Overall, it was a well-rounded presentation that showcased your creativity and understanding of effective teaching strategies. Great job!
